For each explicit forecast year $t$, the Free Cash Flow is discounted back to the present using the Weighted Average Cost of Capital ($WACC$):
\[PV_{FCF} = \sum_{t=1}^{n} \frac{FCF_t}{(1 + WACC)^t}\]To capture the value of the business beyond the explicit forecast period, FCFBuddy utilizes the Gordon Growth Model:
\[Terminal\ Value\ (TV) = \frac{FCF_n \times (1 + g_{terminal})}{WACC - g_{terminal}}\]Where $g_{terminal}$ represents the perpetual terminal growth rate.
The Terminal Value is then discounted back to present value and aggregated with the explicit cash flows to derive the total Enterprise Value (EV).
