Privacy Policy

ReadOcean does not collect personal data, require an account, show ads, or use analytics and tracking SDKs.

Information stored on your device

Your imported text files, downloaded books, favorites, reading progress, and appearance preferences are stored locally on your device. ReadOcean does not upload this information to us.

Network requests

The app may request its public catalog from GitHub Pages and book files or covers from the source named on each book page. Those providers receive ordinary technical request data such as your IP address and user agent under their own privacy practices. You can read downloaded books offline.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. ReadOcean receives only the signed purchase status needed to unlock Premium; we do not receive your full payment details.

Imported content

Files you choose through the system file picker are copied into the app's private container. Removing an imported book deletes ReadOcean's local copy.

Children

ReadOcean is a general-audience reading app and does not knowingly collect information from children.
